Top Sydney dining spots to spoil your Mum this Mothers Day 2022.
Are you looking to spoil your mum this Mother’s Day? If so, we’ve found some very special places that are worthy of her. From a Mother’s Day lunch or dinner in the heart of the Royal Botanic Gardens to dinner with a view in Rose Bay, take a look and see where you could take your mum on Sunday 8 May.
Catalina, Rose Bay
A very popular dining spot in a stunning waterfront location, renowned for fine food and wine. Serving some of the best seafood in Sydney, you can expect superb with every mouthful. Bite into fresh, delicious ingredients and savour the flavours as you admire the view from Catalina.
Lunch has already been filled but there is an option for a special Mother’s Day Dinner. It’s a three-course menu with seven options per course – $140 for adults and $65 for children.
Botanic House
Spoil your mum with something truly unique — a nine-course tasting menu in the heart of Sydney’s Royal Botanic Gardens. You’ll be sitting amongst the tranquil gardens, enjoying culinary creations from internationally celebrated chef, Luke Nguyen. With delicacies like the chef’s selection of dumplings, seared Yellowfin tuna with sesame seed, finger lime and chilli tamari dressing, and desserts like lychee pudding on the menu, it’s sure to be a celebration of flavour and family.
Mother’s Day lunch (from 11am) $119pp for adults, $105pp for children 12-18 years and $65 for under 12s.
Mother’s Day dinner (from 5pm) $135pp for adults, $125pp for children 12-18 years and $70pp for under 12s.
Hyatt Regency
When you appreciate the finer things in life, a spot of Afternoon Tea is the perfect Mother’s Day celebration. At the Hyatt Regency Sydney, you can enjoy a three-course smorgasbord of sweet and savoury delights, all matched with botanical gin & tonics as well as a selection of artisan loose leaf teas.
Book ahead to avoid disappointment and head there on Sunday 8 May between 2.30-4.30. Prices are $85 per adult and $55 per child.
Centennial Homestead
Head to the heart of Centennial Park and celebrate mum with a delicious lunch, overlooking the lawns. As soon as you arrive you’ll be given a Bellini cocktail or a glass of rose, whichever you prefer. Then you’ll be seated for a two-course sitdown dinner with a choice of three options for both courses. And, when you’ve had your fill, you could take a walk around the park to admire the scenery.
Lunch is served from 12pm to 3pm and costs $59pp
Park Hyatt
With a choice of an exquisite lunch or Afternoon Tea, both with incredible views of the Sydney Harbour, you’re bound to win brownie points with this one.
Choose from a decadent three-course lunch with snacks of caviar and malted sourdough with salted treacle butter, entrees of lightly smoked kingfish, Vanella buffalo burrata or steak tartare, followed by a slow cooked beef, Top End barramundi or roast pumpkin ravioli, all finished with a delicious dessert…we’re getting hungry just writing this. It’s certainly a menu of celebration and it’s available from $160pp.
If you think your mum would prefer Afternoon Tea, you can book in for a deliciously decadent — and leisurely — afternoon, complete with Veuve Clicquot. From $120pp.
Mimi’s Coogee
For a spot of coastal fine dining, look no further than Mimis in Coogee. With arched windows that frame a view of the everychanging tide, it’s a sight to behold whatever the season. And then with a menu from executive chef Jordan Toft that changes regularly to showcase the best produce available. This is somewhere that will impress, and if there are more than eight of you sitting down, banquet menus are available from $160pp.
Put on your Sunday best and sit down for a traditional Afternoon Tea, elevated with Wedgewood teaware and The Langham’s Champagne of choice — Laurent-Perrier. Your mum is sure to love the delicious and timeless menu filled with flavoursome delights like their signature warm scones, delicate finger sandwiches as well as a selection of British-inspired sweet and savoury delights.
The Chiswick
With a mix of old favourites and fresh, seasonal dishes, you can take your mum on a delicious culinary journey through the kitchen garden. Head Chef Taylor Cullen has curated a special menu just for Mother’s Day that the whole family can enjoy. You’ll indulge in a glass of Champagne on arrival and have a choice of a standard or vegetarian set menu. There’s even a children’s menu for the younger members of your family. It’s sure to be a bright, fresh and luscious way to spend the day.
